**update** seller sent us new hardware very quickly This is great! but unfortunately this time the gate broke off the wall and the parts cannot be replaced. We feel compelled to buy another one of these doors because we drilled holes in our kitchen island and cabinet and added washers that fit under the countertop and it's not worth damaging our cabinets with lots of holes to get around other doors to try. I hope the next one is better! *Update** We have 2 of these gates to keep my kids out of our kitchen and part of the hook on the wall and part of the latch on the gate broke on both gates. Luckily you have an extra hook for the wall but no extra latch on the gate. I will try to contact the seller for new parts and let you know if I can get them. *** These gates are very easy to install and I love the look of them. You need 2 hands to open and close so it's not ideal when holding a baby, but it's enough to keep my little ones out of the kitchen when needed. However, they are not as tight as other gates I own and I would not recommend these gates for the top of the stairs. I would be afraid that with some force it might break.
