I did a lot of research and comparison before purchasing and with great concern I finally settled on a brand I had never seen or heard of before. Before. I bought ScoopX and couldn't believe the quality of these binoculars! I am literally amazed at the incredible attention to detail. Very, very impressive! If you're afraid to spend $$ on these TRUST ME, I would honestly expect them to be worth twice as much upon closer inspection. A really wonderful surprise! I used them on a trip to Alaska with my fiancee and they are amazing! Low-light clarity was excellent, and the lack of distortion aids in observing distant mountains, valleys, and wildlife. Focusing is quick and easy, and they seem to stay in focus between uses. I like the 10x42 size as it suits a variety of purposes, from wildlife to sports to observing the moon and some planets (but you won't see the rings of Saturn at 10x magnification). The quality for the price is really good. An unconditional guarantee is refreshing in these days of very limited warranties on just about anything. In comparison, I had an issue with some Vortex binoculars that came without collimation. Vortex will not help as it has been more than 30 days since purchase.
