Review on GoPro and Action Camera Headrest Mount by Tackform – 10.75 Inches by Trey Samuels

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Give up the sucker, use this.

I've used this mount on a variety of vehicles. .Suction cups are great for achieving certain odd angles as long as you can find a secure attachment point. On the downside, this guy can get some great angles that typically can't be mounted on a suction cup and seems to produce a much more stable shot. The headrest's mounting position also makes the angle feel cinematic - almost a classic over-the-shoulder shot. This thing feels solid, which probably also helps stabilize hidden vibrations. Most of it is metal except for a few small pieces of plastic. It tightens around your headrest with a small hex screw, making it a bit difficult to attach and detach, but not too much (and probably stabilizes the shot too). The only time I've had issues with this mount has been in vehicles that use a new headrest design or combine the headrest with the seat (like seats in Tesla cars). Having multiple pivot points along its length makes it very easy. to adjust the position of the Go Pro and get different angles. Thanks to its wide angle, the Go Pro captures the driver, passenger and middle group with enough headroom to get some context even outside the windows. vehicle recordings.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
