This strap surprised me because the manufacturer indicated that the leather is hard but softens over time. The bracelet I received (natural color) is different: it is one of the smoothest. , the softest and most flexible straps I have ever come across. I really wasn't expecting this from a seemingly rough, rustic belt. Otherwise, the quick release feature works beautifully as expected and I mounted the band to my Fossil Gen 5e watch in no time. Last but not least, the manufacturer includes an extra quick release pin, an extra loop for a leather strap, and a tool to help you deal with non-quick release pins when replacing a strap fitted with these old devices. All for twenty dollars - sounds good to me!
