I have my own well on the property and the entire filter in the house gets clogged with sediment every week or two. I needed something to get rid of the coarse sediment so my main filter would last longer. This device was amazing! It was really easy to install as it already included the connector hardware. I just had to cut the PVC, make a simple bracket and attach it. It took me 30 minutes. It's great to see the sediment build up and then wash away! I have a lot of sediment in my well water so I have to run it every day but that's not a problem and it's automatic! This part is very solidly built. Thick plastic walls and thick brass body. I have no doubt that it will last for many years. They also include a manual valve switch if you need to remove the automatic actuator for any reason. Good to know I can switch to manual mode if needed. Due to the amount of sediment in my water, I had to upgrade to a 100 micron screen. I called iSpring directly to inquire about purchasing a 100 micron screen and spoke to Nick. He was very nice and sent me a 100 micron sieve for free! Outstanding customer service from iSpring!
