I love that I can easily switch between using the mic for my computer setup or using it on my piano by just shaking my hand and the mic itself twist a little, which is simply the compression of a shock absorber. My scissor arm that came with the mic I bought bent and became unusable at the clamp, I suspect due to the weight. That's why I ordered this solution. The entire mic stand and Pyle arm are much stronger. As much as I love the idea of a tabletop stand, I'm sure this stand won't break down after just a few months of use. This is the second time I have purchased a Pyle product to replace something that is broken and it has worked beautifully.
