Gets the job done

I am writing a review on this product in case anyone has the same problems. The suction power is low so it can be a little slow at times, but it gets the job done. The instructions are a little confusing, so note that there are two lids on the filter canister. One is just for clearing gravel and the other is used with a water pickup hose. The rest is pretty intuitive. When I first used it, it worked great. The second time I used it, the suction didn't work. I checked the motor fan area, there were no blockages. It took a while but I finally figured out that the problem was a small bridge in the middle of the hole where the water leaks into the filter canister which trapped and clogged plant debris. Flushed the dirt from there and the motor fan area (the bottom part unscrews to reveal the motor fan) and the suction came back with no problems. If suction seems poor, check both the water inlet and outlet. All in all a pretty good buy.

Pros
  • The power is 6 watts, the powerful water pump motor can deliver a maximum flow of 92 gallons per hour. The suction power is sufficient for quick water changes, vacuuming up leftover food and fish excrement from the aquarium. Save time and reduce fatigue.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
