Review on RESTCLOUD Butterfly Habitat Terrarium: Enhancing Learning & Education for Insect Habitats by Rubeen Black

This cage is EXCEPTIONALLY well made and perfect for Praying Mantises, Butterflies, Stick Insects etc. The extra zipper at the bottom is its best feature. You can remove bug droppings or put food inside without disturbing the insect. And unlike cheaper cages, this one doesn't have a 'hidden' hole at the end of the zipper that you can't see but you can put your finger through. This hidden hole in the competitor's cages allows the feeding insects (fruit flies, houseflies, crickets, and roaches) that I feed my mantises to escape from the cheaper competitor's cages. So don't even try to compare this to other cells on the market! None of these are as well made as this plaid, so I order dozens of these. This cage never had a single escaped feeder insect like the cheaper cages I've bought. I also like that the material on the bottom keeps moisture and dirt from getting onto the floor or cage below. Mesh bottom cells cannot do this. My ONLY complaint about this cage is a personal one: the very dense leaf pattern distracts me from watching praying mantises and butterflies and I enjoy watching my insects. It also makes it difficult to tell if there's mantis droppings or diarrhea on the ground, or if leftover insects might be hiding among the busy leaf patterns. A larger version of this cage with the same specs and a much nicer green color but too big (takes up too much space) for me to keep hundreds of praying mantises in my house as each praying mantis needs her own cage. The cage is very easy to wash in regular detergent and will withstand even large praying mantises with large sharp claws, but still has enough soft sides not to damage the butterfly's delicate wings. With cheaper cages, the flexible metal frame would often puncture the fabric and render the cages unusable. This has never happened to me in a RESTCLOUD cage and I have literally hundreds of praying mantises housed in different cages. This is the best cage on the market and I don't usually write rave reviews!
