As long as you don't do anything stupid, this solder works great. It melts quickly and has sufficient surface tension. As long as I don't overheat the part and melt too much solder, I can cut through long rows of contacts very quickly. Of course, if you mess up, you'll end up with a pretty nasty lump that's hard to clean, but I blame the user more than that solder. I tried holding it like a pencil (because it's shaped that way) but quickly gave up and went back to applying solder with my fingers. However, the larger size makes it easier for other fingers to grasp when feeding with the thumb and forefinger. It's been a few months since I bought it but if I remember correctly it was the best value for money when I bought it which is another plus.
