Bolts are weak in bolts
Bolts easily engage even in soft pine. Pre-drilling is essential even in the softest woods. I broke three pilot drills at half the screw size and ended up having to pilot drill to the actual screw size to complete the project. I will not buy again.
Pros
- The hex bolt has a deep wood thread and will not accept a nut. To install it you will need a wrench or pliers to drive it into the tree.
