But does it look better than it was? Absolutely. That was of course a pretty low bar. After reading some of the reviews I wasn't very optimistic but I'm pleasantly surprised. It took a lot of trial and error. The parts all have the same shape. While the sofa part fitted almost perfectly, the chaise longue part required some creative thinking and stretching. Don't tie your ties too tightly or you'll stretch a lot. There is one spot on my lounger where the fabric sags and won't retract due to the way the pillow is attached, but most of the time that's where the dog sleeps, so I'm not too concerned. You could probably fix it with upholstery pins if that bothers you. The fabric is very soft and doesn't smell like chemicals. I have two very fluffy fluffy chicks so we'll have to see if this is a pet magnet. But for now I'm content until we can afford a new sofa.
