Review on 🌬️ Emerson Quiet Kool 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner with Remote Control, EARC8RE1, 115V, White, 8000 BTU by Jasmine Williams

The electronic control board on this machine is complete garbage. Brand new out of the box, it doesn't work properly or at all. It can work for several minutes and then start beeping non-stop. The touchpad doesn't work often, if at all. The remote can make the device respond, but doesn't do much beyond a light show. The light just keeps changing between settings and beeping. Of course, when you press the power button, the fan stops and the screen just flashes and beeps. If you press the buttons randomly, you can stop the beeping and switch to cooling mode. However, you only have two temperature settings: 88 or 61 degrees. Nothing in between, just the highest and lowest setting. By pressing up or down he switches between numbers and no combination I found can stop him in this crazy game he wants to play. Unplug it for 30 minutes to restart when it was just plugged in an hour ago, brand new. While waiting, I looked at various pretty Kool models and found that several people were having the same issue. So it's not a user problem, it's a manufacturer problem with a poor quality control board. When I first started looking for a replacement, I found other sellers (TLC, Black and Decker, etc.) selling the exact same model under their brand name and having the exact same controller issue that was going crazy. other branded versions of the same model in each BTU rating. I went through almost all the reviews and found that they all suffer from the same problem. Unfortunately, some people get stuck with a purchase without being able to return it. Please don't throw away your money.
