The radar detector bracket comes in parts with 3 screws that need to be assembled to mount the windshield. The suction cup holds the mount and my radar detector well. Where it fails is the screw mount: the first screw will slip and drop your radar after a day: the other two screws to lock your radar sideways and keep it level will wear out after about 8 hours (my time at work) unscrewed. In the morning the radar is looking at me crookedly and I have to tighten it, and at 4pm I have to do it again as it returns to the same crooked position. Never had this problem with OEM but sure triple the price but at least I never have to touch it again for 3 years after putting it on my windshield. I'm coming back after 3 days of excitement.
