Not suitable for use in a period home
I have a 100 year old house with a picture ledge on the first floor. The wood is of course very hard because it is so old. These hooks bent as easily as a paper clip. I couldn't get any of them to fit properly on my picture guides. Everyone is out of shape. Maybe they work on new wood which is usually much softer and pine. For me I would never buy again.
