I photograph small (1" x 1") lapel pins that I sell on Ebay. A good photo is important to potential customers. I was using my iPhone 10 but decided to try this camera as it turned out to be able to take much better photos. I have not found that to be the case. See my comparison photo. In both cases I used Photoshop to enhance the image as much as possible. It took me about 30 seconds to take a photo with an iPhone. Of course, I've only just started learning how to use a microscope camera, but it took me a few minutes to take this photo, which I think is worse, not better, than my iPhone picture. I returned this product for two main reasons: 1. LEDs at max brightness are not very bright. 2. The description mentions a zoom lens, but it's actually a focus knob, not a zoom lens. Even after putting the microscope camera on top of the box to move it slightly away from the stylus, I couldn't place it fully in the photograph. If I used a large box to get away from the needle I wouldn't be able to focus it sharply from that distance. So for my intended purpose this product didn't meet my needs, although it was smart and interesting. PS: If you look closely at the two photos, you'll also notice that the microscope camera distorts the shape of the subject, as the iPhone photo looks a lot more like the actual pin.
