My issue with these Purex Crystals start with the fact that they are not safety sealed in any way. What's to stop someone from swapping out the name brand before shipping them to unsuspecting customers? Second, they are not even filled all the way, and all at different levels - again, suspicious. Third, the texture of them is slightly damp. When I have purchased them in the past, from a box store, they were almost the consistency of sand; these are slightly darker and darker and clumped. I even found a piece the size of my thumb nail. Lastly, the scent is off. It's almost too strong, slightly mixed with a chemical. But one you add it to water - it disappears. This was an extremely disappointing purchase. I was excited about it because of a decent price drop - now I see why. All the more proof that if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
