Review on Savic Lixit Splash Giant Bird Bath - XL Size (71-0151-001) by Kevin Hole

This bathtub is manufactured to a very high standard: no sharp edges, durable plastic, simple attachment outside or inside the cage. I appreciate the care taken in crafting a wooden perch that prevents the bird from stepping on the narrow plastic edging and can be attached in two ways to accommodate different sized feet. I have a note. While the photo is accurate, it should be VERY brightly backlit. The top half of the tub that I received is barely see-through and overall it's quite dark inside. My 34-year-old stern macaw isn't shy at all, but he didn't approach the entrance until I placed a bright, battery-powered lantern (sold wall-mounted in a closet) on top to shine through the darkness of the home. I'm not happy with the decision as it's still dark and he hasn't put his head in yet, although I know he wants to when he hears me banging my fingers in the water. I wish they would make the tub with a clear or lighter, more translucent top half. If so I would quickly return this one for the lighter one. Otherwise, I highly recommend this; it is definitely worth the price.
