I bought this glass jug and another white one to replace a similar one I bought 5 years ago. I recently adopted a pup who loves to brave the surf, grabbed and chewed the lid and didn't want to screw it back into the container. Not sure if it could even be salvaged I bought these two jugs hoping to use the lid as a spare. My husband was able to cut open my original lid for me to use and these 2 jugs arrived which I all use. There are changes since I bought my original which was a completely different company. Pros: Glass jug with rubber bottom to protect against breakage. I love it. You can remove the lid for pouring and it is completely separate from the handle that holds the strainer and base of the jug. Cons: This glass jug holds 1 1/4 less cup than my other jug. I read another review where someone mentioned that you have to refill it often and rightly so. The infuser is attached to the handle and screwed into the pot. My original jug (also glass) had a brew screw at the top which was easier to remove and throw away. Not my favorite design but still doable, you have to unscrew the handle and teapot and remove the contents of the teapot (fruits, herbs etc) and then screw the handle back onto the glass pot and pour the drink. Personally, if you're having a party and want to share, I would use a giant glass with a party rooster. I only rated this jug 4 stars because of the capacity and because I was spoiled with my other. I highly recommend this mug. I use it every day, I don't care how many times I have to refill it. I still use it every day.
