Review on ๐Ÿ’ฆ Stylish & Waterproof: Marmot Women's PreCipยฟ Jacket in Large Size - A Must-Have for Women's Clothing by Lindsey Wright

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lightweight, breathable, packable and DEEP HOOD

UPDATE: It has zippers and I didn't even notice! If, like me, you run a lot and are prone to "hot running," you know what a godsend for pit zips. If it works like that in the rain I think Marmot will have a new loyal customer. I've been looking for a new waterproof rain jacket for months. My old jacket - from a major outdoor company, two words, the second word rhymes with club - wore out after just a year, which was a huge disappointment considering I paid $100 for a brand new jacket. A colleague of mine admires the Marmot brand and recently he let me try on his Precip jacket at work. I was surprised by the weight (very light) and the durability - he's had the jacket for at least two years and the inside still looks brand new with no peeling which seems to be common with many waterproof single layer jackets. Received my new Precip jacket yesterday and it was exactly what I was hoping for - super light, very breathable (not like a plastic outer shell), with a nice deep hood. This last quality is VERY important to me; Every day I covered more than two miles one way, and rain in Oregon often finds a way to fall sideways. A deep hood can be crucial to protect your face from the rain. I was also pleasantly surprised that the jacket, while long enough to cover my butt, is relatively comfortable (I have a very curvy head). For reference, my measurements are 36-31-46, 5'2", 170 lbs. I ordered a large and although it's a little big at the top, it hugs my hips which was amazing. I look forward to it give it a try in the next rain and will update my review if necessary.
