I could have settled for Jane's regular coffee maker (which was supposed to be delivered the next day) but since it would be on my kitchen counter 24 hours a day, 7 days a week I thought cute! So I waited two weeks to get this color. And I'm glad I did! The attention to detail, like the wood grain handle, is very attractive and you probably won't be able to tell from the advert. I am attaching some photos so you can see it better and also the top of the car is brown (not black), at least the green one. I'm not sure about others. And while it's definitely beautiful, it's more than that. The square shape of the machine makes it easy to clean, as there are no nooks and crannies for coffee grounds to get caught, unlike typical curved coffee makers. Having light, medium, and dark options isn't a gimmick. This machine really makes a cup of coffee with different flavors depending on which option you choose. I've tried light and medium and clearly prefer light. So I didn't bother trying the dark setting. I also appreciate that the handle has an open end so my arthritic fingers don't get stuck when I'm pouring my coffee. It's more expensive than the other $20 options, but I've had it for years and decided to treat myself and my countertop a bit this time. Completely satisfied with this purchase.
