This article is just right for my pointer. The reason I needed this was to push the garage lift button past the passenger side window on the driver's side of my car. This telescopic pointer is stiff enough that it won't retract when I press the wind-up button, but it still retracts easily when I use two hands. It's a good weight which adds strength which I love. It would probably hurt if I poked or hit someone with it. I am not a teacher and would not recommend such use to a student. Unless they deserve it.
