not exactly ideal in the kitchen and dining room
The first thing I did when I received this thermometer was to check the correct and absolutely correct temperature. + 100 degrees Celsius is the correct indicator for boiling water. This thermometer never reached 100. It was about 97.2 or so, the real screen is tiny and the buttons are very small. Anyway, I returned it
