I first bought this little gadget to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome. I started having pain and numbness between my thumb and forefinger. The ring offers other ways to hold my phone so I don't get it caught between that part of my hand. What I find even more useful is that I can tilt my phone on a table or desk and the ring will hold it in any position, leaving my hands free. Since my phone's mic is on the back of the phone, these positions improve the sound and make it great when you're following a recipe or need your hands free to type. I gave it four stars for stability, but to make it stronger it needs to be bigger or thicker. I think it's about as strong as a small ring can be and you can't beat the value!
