I have one of the old WD Element 3.0 spinners and most other cases will not fit as it is unusually large given its 5TB capacity. This case actually offers space to easily store a larger WD Elements drive. It's made of the same fabric over ABS that protects the drive from light drops. The mesh chamber prevents a pair of laces from being scratched on the top. This serves as protection against breakage for the WD drive and is reasonably rainproof, but you shouldn't immerse it in the pool.
