Review on πŸ”§ Super Phatic Adhesive by DELUXE MATERIALS (DLMAD21) - Enhanced SEO-Friendly Edition by Brian Krump

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good, quick-drying balsa glue for model builders.

Superglue doesn't exist. Call it "a moment and a half." You may have to wait 20 minutes for this glue to cure. This is an aliphatic adhesive with additives. Holds as well or better than Titebond. It is very thin and penetrates the joints easily. The joints withstand shocks well. It also penetrates well into wood fibers. Dries quickly but not instantly. If you fiddle with the seam a lot before it grabs, you'll need to add a little more glue. Total drying time is at least one night. When it dries, it becomes elastic, flexible and strong enough. Haven't tried sanding it but the prospects don't look promising due to the rubbery consistency. I try to confine the glue to the inside of the joint, which is pretty easy to do. I usually apply the glue from a small puddle using a toothpick as an applicator. The needle applicator that came with the glue swelled up the first time I used it, so I threw it away. Teflon tubing might work, but I haven't tried it. The glue in the container has the viscosity of water.
