My son started this game at school when he was 3 and he loves it! We just got him a copy of his own for his 4th birthday and he'll be playing it all his waking hours if anyone wants to play with him that much :-) Since he can't add yet we're going to help him with that aspect of the game ( When it's your turn, one of about four possible actions is to discard cards that form an addition equation (e.g. 1, 3, and 4), but the rest can easily be done by 3-year-olds and older. But it is also quite interesting for adults, so even with children they are not averse to playing it.Each game is very fast - the box says 20 minutes, but when we play, usually someone wins for 10 minutes or less (he gets 5 ladies) and then we keep playing until all the ladies are awake, just for fun.The box says it's for ages 8+, but I would only recommend it for ages 4+!
