Review on Shortsighted Swimming Goggles For Nearsighted Swimmers | AIKOTOO by Alex Reunion

Wish I had known about these sooner

My daughter is very nearsighted and has had a few close-calls with snorkeling/diving in the ocean. I had no idea that prescription goggles existed and were affordable until a mom friend told me about her daughter's. These are amazing. I bought her these goggles in 2018 and she was using them during the summer of 2020 without any leaks. She used them in the ocean in Florida and the polarized lenses made her so comfortable that she wore them in and out of the ocean as prescription sun glasses. We live further north, but they weren't too dark for her last summer when she played in our pool under a tree. She and I both had a pair the last time we went to a water park and were stopped several times by people complimenting how they looked and asking where we got them. When I told them that they were also prescription, I'm pretty sure I made some sales.Be careful with sunscreen. We use zinc-based sunscreen and it will damage the lenses if you're not careful. I try to wipe off the gaskets after use so that there's less of a chance of sunscreen smearing on the inside. The case is great. I feel safe putting glasses in them when switching to goggles because you can see any sand clearly on the black background and once closed, sand will not get into the case. Nose bridge sizes are also a good extra.

Pros
  • Provides superior UV protection
Cons
  • May cause eye fatigue or strain after long periods of use
