The stand rotates in multiple ways so you can view your phone in landscape or portrait mode. The stand also serves to hold the phone and is a magnetic mount that attaches to the car's magnetic mount. I already had a magnetic mount in my car so I specifically looked for something similar. The magnet is strong and your phone stays securely on the mount and won't fall off when you move it. A few flaws I experienced with this phone stand. Eventually the glue came loose. I was able to reattach it and it hasn't come loose since. If you use it as a ring holder, it will be bulkier than your regular ring holder. But it is necessary to get a great stand. The kickstand feature is my favorite thing about it. If necessary, I can hold my phone in portrait mode on my desk at eye level. Even in landscape format, everything is in one go. A very versatile phone accessory in my opinion. Great Value!
