The good news is that this brush actually works but I had to use it multiple times a day. I didn't have this problem with a comb with shorter teeth. I really have to work, I have to work carefully to untangle the tangles and with my long thick flowy wavy hair I get a lot of tangles. It's like my hair is knitting itself when I roll over and then it's pulled back with a bobby pin or hair tie. This comb is a lot stronger than it looks, but I'm going back to my comb with shorter, thicker teeth. With him I only have to comb my hair in the morning. This comb is not painful, but it is not painless either. If I lose my other brushes I will use these, but they are not my favorites and take a lot more work.
