Review on ICY DOCK FlexiDOCK MB522SP-B - Dual 2.5” SSD Dock with Tool-Less Hot-Swap, SATA/SAS Compatibility for External 3.5” Bay by Edris Holwell

I ordered this because I thought one of the SATA data connections on my Kingwin unit was broken - see looks like it's a SATA port on the motherboard. This unit is easy to install, just like the Kingwin - what I don't like is that it doesn't have doors to keep the drive bays dust-free when you're not using them, but the Kingwin does. Second, the drives themselves, a 2.5-inch Seagate SSD and a Samsung SSD, both slide fairly easily into the Kingwin, need some help with this Icy Dock - I actually pulled out a flashlight to make sure I don't have plastic wrap. overlooked in subjects - no. A smart feature of this icy dock is that it only requires one power connection for both bays, while the Kingwin requires one for each bay - slightly less cord jamming behind the unit. The button sockets work well, which makes me wonder why the washers are so tight - the buttons push the sliders out about 1.5 inches, leaving enough washer to pull out the rest of the way. Overall I'm happy with the device but to be honest I'm sticking with the Kingwin device for my next build.
