Well, as for cooling, I haven't had a chance to compare, but I don't think there's a huge difference, sorry. As far as the sound goes, ideally it's exactly the same, haven't noticed a difference, the difference is there's a coil whistle when playing, look what it is, my previous fans haven't had that, but that maybe you're unlucky. might get one that isn't there so it's a bit annoying for me but if you're wearing a hat you probably won't hear it, I wear one too and it minimizes the sound to zero, btw I have the Hyperx Stinger Wireless version for PS4 with blue stripes. The noise level of the coil varies from game to game, it really depends on the needs to run the game and how well it is optimized, sometimes it's loud, sometimes it's barely audible if you don't pay attention, e.g. when you playing LOL for example, it is barely audible. . I have some videos to test on ffxv and witcher 3, it's noisy on ffxv because it's poorly optimized but not so much on witcher. When I'm wearing the headset, I can't hear it even if I don't turn anything by just putting it on because it's closed at the back. So if you wear the headset while gaming you won't have a problem, but for those who don't it will be annoying. But then again, you can get one that doesn't have a coil, so good luck.
