This cool ceramic cone coffee filter holder is made in Japan and follows the Kalita numbering system but will also fit standard Melitta style paper filters. I usually use cheap standard paper filters from the supermarket, but out of curiosity I ordered some Japanese Kalita filters. Shipping is taking longer so I don't have them yet and may update this if they are noteworthy in any way. I love this little filter cone. It's a beautiful warm brown, attractive and naturally non-porous ceramic surface perfect for brewing coffee. I grind my coffee very well and the water flows through this cone at the right speed, not too fast and not too slow. It feels more comfortable than using a plastic filter holder, is easier to keep clean and retains heat better than plastic or metal. Suitable for brewing between 8 and 24(?) ounces of water depending on how much ground coffee you use. Very good for personal use or for 2 people.
