When they arrived they were too tight to take apart. In the end I managed to separate them. I left them separated overnight to see if they needed to warm up or something. Now they are so weakened that they are practically useless. The fascinating thing is that I bought two sets that are "identical" but nowhere near the same size. I keep them because it's easy for a two year old to take apart and play with.
