🎨 Unpainted Wooden Nesting Doll Set by Koogel - Handcrafted Matryoshka Collection Review

Bought these nesting dolls to paint a nativity scene and other religious scenes. I definitely had to sand them down and use a dremel to match the bases to the tops. The biggest came split. There were rough spots where the grain of the wood was very rough and didn't smooth out. This made it a bit more difficult to paint these parts. In general they are fine. I'm happy with the result.

I took a chance - it was cheaper than the ones I usually buy - and I'm very happy with the purchase! The first, the largest, is very difficult to disassemble the first time; but I'd rather sand it than let it fall apart. The only flaw I found was a chip on the edge of the smaller piece, as in the photo. They are of better quality than others I have purchased. I just hope the quality doesn't change.

My son loves to play with this, but the top and bottom are so tight together that it's almost impossible for even me, let alone my 4 year old, to pull them apart.
