Review on Smartish IPhone 7/8/SE (2020) Wallet Case - Wallet Slayer Vol by Ari Tanner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

1 year later - still good

I got this case for my iPhone 7 just over a year ago to replace one where the card holder section had weakened over time and not more was able to safely hold the correct number of cards I needed to carry (Sinjimoru - this took a very long time so I'm not complaining). ) for attaching a phone in a case to a car mount. I'd say my 4 is the limit of what it can hold (or 3 plus a folded bill) - I used to carry cash in it for a short time and now it's loosening up a bit. If you only want to keep one card in it, it's great for that as long as you don't put a lot more in it on a regular basis because it has a good drawing mechanism. I'm taking this to extremes and in normal use nothing falls if I only draw 1 card out of 4, but drawing 2 cards out of 4 is definitely risky. But I will note that like many other wallets, if you drop them on hard ground, the cards will sometimes fly all over the place, but it's not as bad as some cases with sliding mechanisms, though the back can also fly out or break. - in this case the cards just fly, and you just put them back in without sweating. For the reviewers who said something about the bulge, well, it's really nothing special. The grip is excellent, it has never fallen behind a suitcase and has survived all falls, including on concrete and several steps down. Escalator, no scratches to show. All controls work well and my phone is in excellent condition (3 years old). Though my blue case turns a little gray, keeping it germ-free is easy — I wipe it down with a Curad alcohol wipe (that's about $1 for a $50 box), which is easier than using one Case with a cloth pocket. There is one area where it shows weaknesses and that is the plastic surrounding the camera. This black plastic is more brittle than the case and some parts will chip off the outer edges, but this doesn't affect the case's performance. I have no hesitation in recommending this case - it offers great overall protection and just gets the job done. Highly recommended for those who use their phone as a wallet.
