I only used it a few times a week to blend banana and blueberry smoothies, running it for about 20 seconds each time. It worked fine for the first week, then we noticed our mixer sounded a little different when running. The blade wasn't spinning as freely as it should, and I think that was making our blender work harder, resulting in a difference in noise. We could smell the blender motor as if it was running so hard it almost burned out. Within a month of first use, liquid had seeped through the blade area into our blender, causing a mess. a few times a week. Disappointed because the blade that came with our blender has been working great for over a year without a single problem. I would not buy this knife again.
