Great for quilting

I've been waiting to write this until I've finished my first quilt. I am very happy with my new sewing machine. The inclusion of walking and footplugs makes this good value for money. They cost $50 if purchased separately. After reading the reviews I bought a purchase protection plan and at one point I thought I had broken the car but I was able to go online and find a video on how to fix it. The problem turned out to be very simple and I was to blame for everything. (wrong bobbin size!) Sews like a dream. I had no problem getting started with the quick start guide. Easy to refuel. I found the needle threader easy to use and it's really great that I don't have to kill my eyes while threading the needle. A DVD was included, but I no longer have a DVD player and could not play it on my computer. I didn't need videos until I actually started quilting, and then I just went to YouTube and the singer's website and watched videos there to learn how to use the walking foot. I did a lot of research before purchasing, but all the reviews were overwhelming, so I ended up asking my mom who is a great seamstress. She recently bought a high-end Husqvarna, but told me that if she had to do it again, she'd buy a midrange singer. She taught me to sew on her 1961 Singer, so I'm not a beginner, but I haven't sewn in years. I have a brother who I hate because I could never figure out what a side loading quill is, so I decided to buy a new machine after deciding to start quilting again. I look forward to many years of sewing with this machine.
