Revain mixes reviews of different models, so mine is for the 15.6-inch MDS-156A23. I needed a second monitor for work and went down the rabbit hole to buy portable monitors (15.6 to 18.4). I wasted most of the month watching tons of youtube videos, reading reviews and asking questions. In the end I decided to do it. I save you time: This monitor strikes the right compromise. , You will not be disappointed. The case is thin, but it doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. Attaches with a magnet on the back. It's not blocked there, but I haven't messed with it, so it's not a problem for me. The monitor's dial buttons are intuitive and work exactly as you'd expect. If you've seen the Canon DSLR's thumbwheel, you'll know what I mean. The kit includes 3 cables (2x USB-C and 1x Mini-HDMI-to-HDMI), a power adapter and instructions. The cables are of good quality and the right length (not about two meters). You get speakers, which is better than no speakers. But don't expect more than high mids. I use headphones so it doesn't bother me. The 400 nits score seems a bit optimistic, but bright enough to get the job done. That's where I put my terminals, email, and consoles, and after a while I find myself turning the brightness down. A matte LCD isn't as sharp as a MacBook, and color saturation is slightly lower. But compared to most IPS laptop screens, this is top notch. 15.6 means it fits in the same laptop bag as my 16" MacBook, so that's a big plus (18.4 feels like a canteen tray. I'm happy with the purchase and have even recommended it to colleagues who asked me for comments.
