Works well as long as you don't overload them.
We mainly use it to prevent shopping bags from tipping over and the contents rolling down the trunk. It works great this way. We used it to carry a few items around the house, but it seemed obvious to us that there was a practical limit to how much it could carry without interfering with the folding straps or the floor. It's not a rugged industrial bag, but it's great for stowing awkward items in the back of an SUV.
