This is a very nice warm & cozy shirt-jacket. It is surprisingly warm considering how light-weight it feels. It will be nice for casual wear on chilly fall days, although it isn't heavy enough for true cold weather. I wear a size 14, and usually buy size L or t-shirts and such & XL for sweaters and sweatshirts. As there is no brand-specific size guide, I decided to go with an XXL and I'm glad I did. It fits loosely but isn't really oversized and I wear a sweater underneath, if needed. If I had ordered the XL, I'm not sure I would have been able to layer anything heavier than a t-shirt underneath. The sleeves are just right for me, which doesn't happen very often -- they are usually much too long, especially if I size up. This shirt jacket has a curved hem, which I like and the length extends to the hip at the sides and completely covers my rear. In addition to functional chest pockets with button flaps, there is a perfectly placed pocket on each side; great for keeping my hands warm. The flannel fabric is 60% cotton, 40% polyester; the lining is 100% polyester. The faux sherpa isn't heavy but feels very warm. The flannel is lightly napped but isn't really all that soft (I'm sure it will get softer after being washed a few times). The shirt is well made and all buttons are securely sewn on and button holes are neatly finished. I ordered the blue & green plaid and I think it looks great. The current price of $42.99 is getting pretty close to the cost of similar shirts from premium brands that are designed for working outdoors and this shirt just doesn't compare in terms of quality, weight & warmth, so I think the price seems a bit high.
