I'm an aspiring machinist and have been using my 9x19 for about 3 months now. I went through a box of these carbide inserts in about 2 months which I think is normal considering what I've learned. I like the 0.079 inch width. Very narrow compared to most other split width tools. It does a great job with aluminum but you just have to feed slowly and make sure it gets plenty of cutting fluid when cutting SS like 304, 316 and 17-4. I immediately ordered more. I think I'll stick with this insert for now.
