My amazing urBeats headphones went missing last month so I've decided to forgo buying new and buy something new. I chose these based on reviews and after a week of continuous use I found them exceptionally inferior to what I had before. It is clear that the X4i is limited at certain frequencies, which is surprising given the price. Of course, you get crisp high frequencies and what sounds like surface cleanliness. But the bass was so low that some of the mids were distorted, and when some songs had great dynamic range, it was all a mess. A drunk engineer at a filthy rock club I hung out at in Jersey could make bands sound better than these headphones. The sonic bliss of Tame Impala's "Currents" turned into a listening pleasure only Tylenol could mitigate (an end result the band probably wasn't hoping for). Market. So, with great disappointment, I eat up the hundred dollars I spent and go back to the urBeats headphones, which gave me more (and less expensive) satisfaction with the sound quality.
