The shoes are true all-rounders - regardless of whether you run short distances or longer. I have received several shoes from New Balance and found that these run a little smaller or narrower. I found other models of the same size to be a bit wider and my feet didn't have the support they have with these shoes. The foot is literally encased without the shoe pinching or you starting to sweat. A choice of colors would be great, but as far as the quality of the shoe is concerned, you can't complain, especially for the price.
