This is a very well made coffee maker. I expected nothing less from Stanley. However, some will not like it. If you don't grind coffee beans yourself, this might not be for you. Especially if you are younger. When you use ground coffee, there is a significant amount of very finely ground coffee at the bottom of the cup. Enough to put some people off. I grind the beans myself and can set the desired degree of grinding. Also, as I got older, I grew up drinking brewed coffee. There should always be coffee grounds in your cup. That's how things were. It does not bother me. I also like this Stanley because I can pour myself a second coffee on the same floor. The second time, more oil is released in the coffee. It usually foams just like espresso. I think it's durable enough to last for years. Just be aware that if you choose not to grind your beans yourself, there are reasons you will have to deal with them.
