works perfectly! I didn't know it existed until my electrician told me about it. I now have a switch and a GFI in the same box.
beautiful switch. I'm DIY and I had a little problem. Firstly because the wiring in my house looks like it was done by a fifth grader and secondly because the instructions for this switch are a bit vague when it comes to wiring the toggle switch itself. One of the switch wires should go to a wire outside the GFI (if you don't have a switch on a separate circuit), but the instructions aren't clear enough. I originally used one side of the two black wires for the GFI load side switch (which comes from the switch and immediately turned off the CFI. When wiring this up, make sure the switch is connected to the "bottom" GFI site Hope it makes sense I forgot my Hick electrician phrasebook tonight.
