This thing works fast! I received this item just before my trip and wanted to test it and I was very impressed! I tried the smaller Louis and Clark device and it didn't work at all so I got a refund and bought this one. I put it in a cup of water as directed (to the max fill line) and within 45 seconds the water was HOT! NiceNote: Taking the heater out of the water without turning it off or unplugging it will damage the unit, so DO NOT leave it on or remove it from the water. this will damage the device and cannot be repaired)
