Review on Sennheiser HD 206 Closed-Back Over Ear Headphones - Discontinued Model by Amrit Barla ᠌

Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

I purchased these headphones approximately two and a half years ago, and what am I supposed to say? They have a balanced sound that works well for me personally, and I really like them. They are very comfortable to wear. The basses are used sparingly in this setting; while I recognize that not everyone like them, I do not feel the need to overindulge in them. There are no extremely unpleasant or loud noises in the high frequency range, and the medium and high frequencies are well balanced. Personally, I appreciate using headphones. What is it about them that bothers me so much? Ear pads. Or, to be more precise, these ear pads are of high quality; nonetheless, the leather substitute is of very poor quality. After using the headphones for some time, the "skin" of the ear pads will have peeled off, but the paint that normally comes off of them will still be there in as many places as possible. The overall appearance is ruined by the fact that the ear pads have been painted, which is a shame because I really like these headphones. With these headphones, I find that I really love listening to music in general. So who has any doubts? Purchase! But, I can tell without hesitation that it is best to wipe the ear pads with any type of wet wipes at least once per week in order to prolong the life of the paint that is adhered to the soft ear pads. IMHO.

Pros
  • The quality is acceptable, the ear cushions are comfy, and the cord is somewhat lengthy.
Cons
  • After approximately 2.5 years of use, the ear pads have been worn out.
