I was hesitant to buy this code reader as I've had bluetooth readers with a key before and they give out error codes and live data but they are limited. I was looking for a new portable device for diagnosing passenger cars. When researching modern code readers, I found "bi-directional" analyzers to be very desirable as they allow certain functions to be reset when mechanical parts are replaced, such as B. replacing brake pads or throttle position sensors. The required functions vary by vehicle, therefore not all bi-directional functions are available in all vehicles. Most handheld scanners that can perform these functions cost over $600 and require an annual renewal fee. That's too much for the average backyard mechanic. Then I discovered XTool A30M. It is a bi-directional tool with 21 functions. Works with many car models. It not only reads information about the transmission, but also about all systems, such as the braking system and the SRS system. This is a professional tool that competes with the OEM analyzer. Updates are easily accessible through the app and are free for the lifetime of the device. XTool email support is fantastic! I have emailed XTool with my needs, questions and vehicle information and have regularly received good and comprehensive responses in under 24 hours and sometimes as little as 12 minutes. I received the A30M quickly and downloaded the app on Ipad and Android tablet. The only real complaint I have is that the app is HUGE! After downloading the app, I would recommend only updating the vehicles and features that you intend to use. The reason the app is so big is because it has all the power of the A30M. The application is constantly updated and improved. I have tested the device on two US vehicles (Ford Truck and Jeep Patriot) and it works very well. The amount of diagnostic information I can get is overwhelming, even a little overwhelming. It's good to know that the A30M can source these for me when I need to view detailed data for one of my vehicles. I am very satisfied with the value of A30M features and XTool product support before and after purchase. I would definitely recommend this.
