Review on Bapmic 34523420331 Wheel Sensor 2004 2010 by Gerald Reeves

Revainrating 5 out of 5

ABS, TPMS, Brake and 4x4. All dashboards removed!

I have an old BMW E83 X3 that used to have 4 lights on the dash! ABS, TPMS brake and 4x4. I didn't research enough and fixed the wrong thing. Replaced the transfer case servo motor reduction gear. He didn't remove the dashboard light, the original gearbox failed soon enough for me to at least cross it off the list of possible problems. I ended up taking my car to the shop to have it diagnosed and they said the rear right ABS sensor needs to be replaced. I did more research and it makes sense that this topic would help. The repair was quick and painless with a minimal set of tools. It actually removed my dash light. If the warning lights come back on in the near future, I'll know it's not the sensor itself that's failing, but the RING of the rear ABS drive shaft that touches that sensor. Rust under the ring will cause it to rise above this sensor. This piece is not sold on Revain from what I can find but sells on ebay for around $18. The setup looks complicated so I hope I won't have to deal with it anytime soon. I suspect that the few bad reviews stating that this sensor only worked for a few months is related to the issue described above. For now, this inexpensive ABS sensor has done the job. Headlight removed from dashboard. Now I can check my car for the sticker! lol good luck!
