These arrive in two packs of six. Mine were shedding a bit when I unwrapped them and started playing with them, but it seems like the shedding has stopped now.The hair locks are made of sturdy, glossy, smooth fibers stitched to small metal comb-clips. The clips have a rubber strip that helps grab your hair better and hold securely.Unfortunately, the clips are a bit bulky and the ivory color is unfortunate. that's a tough color for almost anyone to hide. I think a gold/bronze metallic color would have been lots better.Because I have thin hair, I have to do a lot of careful arranging to get the hair color to show, but the comb to be hidden. These are long, but you can cut them to a similar length as your own hair.I'm a middle-age professor, and I'm looking forward to randomly wearing these to class to confuse/amuse my students.
